Fire Extinguisher Training

This course is intended to train staff to tackle a small fire in safety using portable fire fighting equipment. Course notes and attendance certificates are provided.

Syllabus :

• Theory of combustion : The basic combustion theory including the triangle of fire
• Classes of fire & fire extinguishers Classes A, B, C, D, E & F fires and the correct extinguishing media
• Use of fire fighting equipment : do's and don'ts of fire fighting, and limitations of portable fire fighting equipment
• Practical fire-fighting : Use of fire extinguishers/hose reels on real fires

The ‘Inert Gas’ is a gas of the air which has the capacity to be able to treat a fire hazard in open spaces. It is an inert gas, nonconductive, colourless, odourless and flavourless. Is no corrosive and may be used at normal temperatures with such materials as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and plastics. Perfect dielectric and appropriate for the protection of all the electric and electronic materials.

Discharge is through valves approved by the most renowned independent organizations. They offer a great flexible adaptability for all actuation and release systems currently used in the market, even allowing combinations of several of them.

The design of the system protects against accidental actuation due to any small leak. They also allow checking and maintenance of all critical elements contained in a fixed extinguishing system, at the time of commissioning and later for system preventive maintenance, thus preventing the risk of accidental discharge. As a general rule, extinguishing concentration is achieved when oxygen contents in the air is reduced from its usual level of 20,9% to values lower than 15% depending on the combustible products.

All gaseous components are stored in high-pressure cylinders in the form of compressed gas, thus space required for such cylinder storage depends on pressure and capacity.

Draper systems can be modular or centralized (single or double row). The system with manual or automatic release includes (PI) certified bottles, equipped with a pressure gauge valves.

Ideal for the protection of archives, museums, libraries and any other hazard including valuable or unique property. Likewise it is suitable for the protection of computer rooms, telephone exchange equipment and any other electrical installation that may present a fire hazard.
